Winter update at Peacemakers

Some winter updates

A review from Jasper.

‘Having no shortage of outdoor space or things to do, Peacemakers is a wonderful place to be. There are plenty of awesome friends, plenty of great rooms, and plenty of nature. In all of these ways, I think Peacemakers is the best retreat centre.

Some of the things I really enjoyed were doing social stuff, lighting bonfires, and patting horses. Because of all this, I do not want to leave, and therefore I give Peacemakers a 5/5′! Jasper (age 9)

Our Bioloo Composting Toilet.
This toilet uses both composting and worm technology to break down what goes into rich usable soil.
There is a normal toilet seat, toilet paper, no flies, and no smell!
We encourage people who come to Peacemakers to use this toilet. It’s good for the environment and our septic system.
However, there are 4 ‘normal’ toilets in the House, so you are free to choose.
Recently the time came to use the compost. Thank you, Silas.

Zac and Susannah
Zac lives at Peacemakers. He is 29 years old, very affectionate, loves people, and will enjoy being stroked and rubbed.

Juxtapositions of the Seasons

Peacemakers Helensville Juxtapositions of the Seasons

The wind blows strong but the sun still warms
my body.

The trees are bare but new blooms have come
through the soil.

The decaying leaves of autumn are trapped in
amongst the flowers of spring.

The pain and grief of unfilled dreams runs
deep but contentment and joy can be
found in the balm of companionship
and the wonders all around me.
